With so many secure messaging options, do we really need another app? The answer sort of depends on what you consider secure and who you are protecting yourself from.

Wylie was developed to help you keep your messaging activities private, from – what we call - “close proximity” intrusions; i.e. people who have (or can obtain) access to your phone.

The best way to think of Wylie is like having your own Enigma machine; you type the message on one end and out comes gibberish on the other, which means that even if someone gets hold of your messages they won’t be able to understand them.

Because Wylie was designed to spread peace and love we don’t use complex ciphers, but something a lot more fun: Riddles!

Wylie Riddles are the “secret component” you need to decode the message and they come in all shapes and sizes. You can let Wylie create a generic riddle for you, create your own or use biometrics (TouchID).

Wylie also doesn’t produce gibberish, that would be way too boring. We create Faux Messages, i.e. realistic messages one might send to their contact(s), just to keep those nosey eyes entertained. We even have a selection of Faux Message conversations you can choose from: School, Work, Sport….

We don’t just protect text; the same level of privacy is extended to images.

Sometimes, however, its not enough to protect the contents of the message, but the sender as well. That’s why Wylie has a Pseudo Profile option, which allows you create an alias for a specific contact.

As you might also expect, Wylie lets you create in-app only contacts, so that they only appear in the Wylie app.

With Wylie you don’t need to turn off your notifications, delete your messages or set a “auto destruct” timer, just chat safe in the knowledge that we’ve got you covered.

If you are still not sure about Wylie and if it’s the right app for you, we’ve created this simple guide:

NO: I am a person of interest trying to stay hidden from government agencies and only a military grade end-2-end encryption communication method will do.

YES: I am not on the run from anyone but don’t my boss from “accidently” looking through my phone and coming across messages from recruiters about a new job
